Cancer research in the LIMCR, the CCCIT and the AGMT pursues the closest possible combination of basic scientific and clinical research for the benefit of the patient and is the prerequisite for the achievement of the claim of a top medical university care.

Salzburg Cancer Research Institute

SCRI was founded in 2013 and is the umbrella organisation of the LIMCR and CCCIT institutions. Research in the Laboratory for Immunological and Molecular Cancer Research (LIMCR) and the Center for Clinical Cancer and Immunology Trials (CCCIT) of the III. Medical University Hospital pursues the closest possible link between basic scientific and clinical research for the benefit of the patient.

Laboratory for Immunological and Molecular Cancer Research

The LIMCR (Laboratory for Immunologian and Molekulare Cancer Research), founded in 2005, is dedicated to the research of the Chronic Lymphoid Leukaemia (CLL). The particularity of the research concept of the LIMCR is reflected in the direct integration of the research laboratory in the field of climate practice. As a result, cancer-therapis can always be improved and new treatment strategies can be developed.

Cen­ter for Cli­ni­cal Can­cer and Im­mu­no­lo­gy Tri­als

The CCCIT (Center for Clinical Cancer and Immunology Trials) is a studenttrale of all the Clinical Cancer and Immunology Trials. III. Medizine of the Salzburger Land-desclinications. For more than 10 years, the CCCIT has been one of the most established, internationally-recognised students in the world, with around 6,400 students already attending the CCCIT within the framework of a group of young students.

Working Community Me­di­ka­men­töse Tu­morthe­rapie

The Ar­­­beit­ge­­schaft me­di­ka­men­töse Tu­morthe­ra­pie (AGMT) was founded in 2007 and sees itself as a joint conclusion of scientific­ac­tive cli­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­ists and researchers in a Technology and On­co­logy.

Cancer Cluster Salzburg

The Cancer Cluster Salzburg is a research network for the further development and consolidation of research on pathophysiology, diagnosis and therapy of cancer. This network combines the expertise in basic scientific, translational and clinical research of working groups of the Salzburg Cancer Research Institute (SCRI), the Paris-Lodron University of Salzburg (PLUS) and the Salzburg State Hospitals (SALK, Pathology, Surgery). The cluster focuses on tumor-micromilieu interactions, immunotherapy and cancer stem cells.
